Baby Doll

Baby Doll

Debut novel by Hollie Overton is a fast paced read.  It’s not really a psychological thriller as there’s no real mystery here.  What it could be described as is the story about the aftermath of a psychopath’s reign of terror.

The book is well written and moves quickly.  Lily escapes from her captor after eight years and attempts to return to her life.  This story explores life after the terror, so maybe it should be called psychological drama.   Can you ever really put your life back together after an event like this?   Everyone’s life was impacted and surely not the same

The book is told in alternating chapters by Lily, Abby her twin and Eve her mother.  There were no real surprises here,  just good old fashioned story telling.  A one day read for me.

Available for preorder now.  Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for providing me an advance copy to read and review.
